• Account Data — email address and profile information provided at sign-up
• User-Submitted Content — sighting reports, photos, and videos you submit
• Device & Usage Data — device identifiers, app usage statistics, and crash logs
• Precise Location — when submitting sighting reports or using Sky Identify features (with your permission)
• Camera / Photo Access — when you attach media to reports or use AR features (with your permission)
• Payment Data — processed through Apple's in-app purchase system; we do not store payment card details
• Advertising Identifiers — collected by Google AdMob for non-personalized ad serving
• Push Notification Tokens — to send you app alerts if you opt in

2. How We Collect Information

Information is collected in the following ways:

• Directly from you — account registration, sighting submissions, form entries
• Automatically — device sensors, usage analytics, crash reports
• Third-party services — Supabase (database & auth), OpenSky (aviation data), N2YO (satellite data), Google AdMob (advertising), and Apple services

3. How We Use Your Information

• Provide core app features: sightings feed, map, Sky Identify, news, podcasts, documents, events, and education
• Moderate community-submitted reports before public display
• Improve app performance and fix bugs
• Send push notifications (only if you opt in)
• Serve non-personalized advertisements via Google AdMob
• Process in-app purchases through Apple
• Comply with legal obligations

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share information with:

• Service Providers — Supabase, OpenSky, N2YO, Google AdMob, and Apple, solely to operate the app
• Legal Requirements — when required by law, court order, or to protect rights and safety
• Aggregated/Anonymized Data — non-identifiable statistics that cannot be linked back to you

5. Data Retention

• Account data — retained until you request deletion or terminate your account
• Sighting reports — retained as long as needed for app features
• Usage logs — retained for up to 12 months

6. Your Rights & Choices

You may at any time:

• Access, update, or delete your account data via our contact form
• Opt out of push notifications in your device settings
• Revoke location or camera permissions in your device settings
• Exercise CCPA/CPRA rights (California residents) or GDPR rights (EU residents) by contacting us

7. Children's Privacy

UAP Hub is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.

8. Security & International Data

We employ reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. Data is processed in the United States through Supabase. By using the app, you consent to this transfer.
